First Colebrook Bank now to be Granite Bank

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – After 125 years of operation in New Hampshire, First Colebrook Bank will be changing its name to Granite Bank to reflect its statewide presence.

Beginning March 16, the independent community bank will be officially renamed Granite Bank.

Residential and business customers of the bank – which will be keeping the same ownership, board, management and staff – will be able to keep using the same checks and debit cards with no change in routing or account numbers.

The new Granite Bank will continue to be a full-service bank specializing in small business commercial lending. It is shareholder-owned and has paid an annual dividend to investors since 1992.

Along with the name change, the bank also recently acquired a payroll processing firm in Bedford, allowing it to offer customers payroll services.

The new Granite Bank, which has 65 full-time employees, has branches in Portsmouth, Concord, Colebrook and Amherst.
