Primary Bank gets conditional approval
BEDFORD, N.H. – Primary Bank has cleared another hurdle on its way to being the second newest bank in the country since 2010 and the first new bank in the state in seven years.
Primary Bank received conditional approval from the New Hampshire Banking Department. Final approval now will depend on the bank getting Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. insurance and raising enough capital to open the Bedford bank.
The bank is being started up by Bill Greiner, a Bedford, N.H., real-estate developer and restaurant owner.
If all goes as planned, the bank’s new location – at Harvest Market Plaza in Bedford – will be ready in April. Fulcrum Associates Inc. of Amherst has already broken ground for the Primary Bank’s Bedford location.
