GE Aviation takes off in NH with expanded facility

HOOKSETT, N.H. — GE Aviation is expanding its facility in Hooksett and is furthering its investment in the state with plans for a 55,000-square-foot facility. It will help to lighten the weight of a backlog in the company’s engine orders.

It will account for about $50 million over the next decade that Cincinnati-based GE Aviation is investing in New Hampshire. The company already has more than 1,100 employees in the state. About 740 work in Hooksett.

The company, a unit of General Electric, manufactures engines and components for various types of aircraft.
