Titeflex Aerospace aims for the sky with expansion, jobs

LACONIA, N.H. — Titeflex Aerospace is enlarging its facility in Laconia and plans to add employees.

The company has about 350 employees and currently has 10 jobs posted. More jobs will be added with the expansion.

The 47,000-square-foot expansion will consolidate all OEM production activity onto one site and provide much needed space for expansion and improvements to process flows.

The site expansion and resulting process reconfiguration of the facility will allow Titeflex to expand capacity to support its position on the many growth platforms on which it has won content over the last few years.

A key concern for Smiths Group, the parent company, and Titeflex Aerospace is continuing to reduce the environmental impact while increasing renewable energy resources. There is a focus on the integration of best practice environmental considerations into current and future operations. One of the key features of the new space will be a sizable reduction in energy and waste, with the intention to cut water discharge to zero over time through a state of the art recycling process. Other green initiatives include high efficiency lighting and utilization of natural light with more exterior windows.

The parking lot will also feature a surface with porous pavement, over aggregate layering to filter water run-off and to reduce the risk of flooding in the surrounding area. This move has been highly praised by the local planning authorities.
