State representative plans Irish pub in Bedford

BEDFORD, N.H. — State Rep. Keith Murphy plans to open an Irish pub at the site of the shuttered Weathervane Seafood Restaurant in Bedford.

Murphy, who owns Murphy’s Taproom and Diner in Manchester, said the new pub will open next year. It will include elements of the taproom, but will offer food and a family-friendly environment. He has yet to name to new pub.

He said it will be a more upscale establishment, and not a rowdy bar. Murphy plans to hire a staff of 35 for the new concept.
